On the 12th of June, 1921 in the settlement of Port Howe, Cat Island, a beautiful baby girl was born to the late Samuel Ingraham and Annie Zonicle. She was christened as Carmen Blunetta Ingraham; and later Confirmed at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Cat Island. She received her education at Port Howe All Age School, Cat Island. She married the late Cyril Tinker of Andros.

This “Bundle of Joy” was born to the wonderful parents, namely Wilfred Sands and Osline Jeudi on June 29th, 1982. They named this precious boy Garfield “Donald” Sands. Immediately following his birth in Nassau, he was brought to Rock Sound where he was nurtured and loved by family, friends and the entire community of Rock Sound.

Hugo Boswell Powell was born in Nassau on the 28th September 1933 to the late Erlin and Enid Powell. He was the oldest of six children. He spent his childhood years on Meeting Street and shared special moments in the family guest house and bar on Blue Hill Road.

Hartley Reginald Smith was born August 1, 1933 in the Family Island settlement of Mars Bay, South Andros, Bahamas. While still an infant, he was taken and cared for by one of his older sisters, Edna Carey-Lewis. Under her guidance, he attended the Government All–Age School in Pleasant Bay where Mr. U. B. Toote was principal.
